You are always living through history, for it is being created one second at time. Now there are spikes and climaxes in this timeline that become very notable that we work from. The rest of time moves slowly around us and is just part of normal life. Now what has become interesting is how many have used social media to turn normal life into a reel of history for others to see. Normal becomes exciting. Instagram and Snapchat are big proponents of this, along with YouTube and other video services. The measuring stick of what you compare your life to has changed. Is my life as exciting as that person? This leads to even bigger problem of posturing oneself to a larger audience. Banging one’s chest of how strong and mighty one is. Making statements of I will never do this. Right at this moment stop and think how many things are you doing that you said you never would?
The storm is no longer brewing, it is here. We are beyond the “war is coming”. The storm is upon and we are at war, if you are willing to admit that or not does not change that fact that that it is here. Pound your chest and posture all you want, what are you actively doing to fight against? Did you get caught with you pants around your ankles while your head was in the sand? Then you need to get up to speed and fast.
Have you started to make decision of what you will not do? Like take a vaccination for the corvid 19? Or what happens when you must have papers to even travel, saying you are clear of corvid-19 or anything else for that matter. What if an answer to all of this is you must have some type of chip implanted? Farfetched and in the realm of conspiracy theorist and yet it is once again being debated hotly.
These times are showing all the cracks in the façade of quote making us safe. Well safe from who? Have you thought about that? Exactly who is the government protecting us from? Sounds a bit like Mob protection, is the government protecting us from the government. Yes, I have wandered down a rabbit hole of thought on this.
Here is my thought that drives these questions.
I think 99% of the men posturing about how they will stand up. Will doing nothing but talk about standing up.
I don’t believe you will do anything; you do not want to leave your gilded cage and because of that you will willing allow if not even welcome with open arms freedoms slowly be stripped away from you. There is not a NO in you. How do I know this, easy look around us how much has been stripped away from you so far? I include myself in this don’t worry. The difference is I know I live in a gilded cage you ignore the fact.
When do you draw the line in the sand and say this is enough and walk away from it all?
Let’s be clear when I say walk away from it, that means shutting down technology in your life, doing away with smart phones and cell phones, cars that are easily tracked, the fancy computer watches, computers themselves, and all the other doodads that have tracking and listening devices.
Few can do this, few have the skills to dp this, few have the balls to do this.
When you want to talk to someone you must do it face to face, scary I know. Your social circle will drop down by 99%, the family members that live 100s of miles away you may never see again.
In this train of thought you have already formed exceptions, there are no exceptions. Face the facts head on. Accept that is something you will have to do.
I do not believe we are quite there yet. To pack it up and call it quits with technology, in this aspect you should prepare for the day if you decide you will, then it will be available to you as a possibility.
There can be much joy in a simple life, I would even venture to say a better one with less stress day to day. It does come with it set back compared to the gilded cage, medical care may not be easily available. You will have to work to live. Daily chores become the requirement of a stable life. You look at such a life now, thinking only simpletons or hippies live that way and I would say look at the smiles on their faces. Who has it better? Neither and both, you must choose what you want in life. I am rambling bit. I shall close with this, start thinking when you will truly draw a line in the sand and if its not in you to draw a line, then stop posturing like some monkey during mating season.
